Job description

We are seeking an Apprentice Administrator to join our clinical and management admin in BANES. This position is ideal for individuals with minimal administrative experience who are looking to develop skills within an NHS Mental Health setting.

The role offers the opportunity to gain an apprenticeship qualification over a fixed-term contract of approx. 21 months. We are looking for someone who is at the start of their admin career and therefore applicants with a degree or extensive administrative experience may not be considered.

Hours of work including on the job learning will be Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 37.5 hours per week. The role will be office based within our BANES Locality Teams situated at Bath NHS House and Hillview Lodge in Combe Park, Bath.

Our admin teams within BANES Locality provide support across a range of mental health services including inpatient wards, older adults, community services, access teams. We also offer administrative support to senior management.

The role involves handling confidential patient information, applicants must be aged 18 or over and eligible for a DBS check. This apprenticeship includes weekly independent study and on the job learning giving opportunity to gain administrative skills alongside each admin team in the locality.

All within a mental health care setting so empathy towards mental health illness will be essential, along with some degree of resilience.
