An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a very busy liver surgical team to offer administrative support. The HPB unit is the largest in the UK facilitating the care of hepatobiliary and pancreatic disease, many of which are cancer in origin. The postholder will support the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic unit in various aspects of administration coordination, linking in with other Allied Healthcare professionals in the capacity of Multi Disciplinary Team preparatory work for liver cancer pathways. This friendly unit will offer support to this busy role, and the postholder will become an integral team member of not just the HPB unit, but the wider liver team which incorporates Liver Medicine and Liver Transplant.
The successful postholder will work in conjunction with the medical secretaries/PAs to support the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Division and will oversee Multi Disciplinary Team requests and undertake preparatory work to ensure pathways are met on performance targets for cancer/suspected cancer patients. The postholder will also be responsible for overseeing the Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic clinic inbox and booking all appointments in accordance with clinical outcome requests.
