Overview

The successful applicants will be based between County Hall and Valentine Centre and will be required to travel between the bases. Please note that this role requires a full UK Driving Licence and access to a car during working hours. We are rapidly expanding our Neurodevelopmental offer to the children and young people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) and now Leicestershire Partnership Trust (LPT) have the fabulous opportunity to grow our team to positively impact the experience for children, young people (CYP) and their families.

This post is part of the ongoing The Neurodevelopment (ND) Improvement Programme that has set out to improve the outcomes of children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) by identifying the resources committed to their diagnosis and care, agreeing opportunities for improvement and implementing new delivery, finance and workforce models.

Successful candidates will be joining an ambitious and passionate team of clinical and administrative colleagues feeding into the ND programme. Post holders will need to have the skills and character to consistently deliver high quality care and work creatively at pace with colleagues with our CYP and families at the centre. The successful applicants will be at the core of the exciting work and improvements for our local population; working to make a significant impact to reducing the waiting list and improving access to support for CYP. We are an ambitious and innovative team with an active interest in learning and a determination to reduce inequality and improve the quality and accessibility of the services we support. We are very excited for the future of our ND offer within LLR.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

The following skills are essential to the role:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good general level of education including GCSE in English Language and Mathematics at grade C (new Grade 4) or equivalent. Evidence of this qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role, working in a busy office environment.
  • Good working knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to work as part of an integrated team.
  • NVQ 2 in administration or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Highly motivated individual to deal with repetitive and monotonous duties and tasks.

You will need to demonstrate previous experience of working with confidential information, showing attention to detail and maintaining accuracy at all times. Your ability to work using your own initiative is essential, whilst understanding the importance of adhering to Trust Policies and local procedures.

Operating System One, a national NHS electronic patient record system, is a key requirement of this role, and whilst full training will be provided, there is an expectation that applicants would need to be skilled and confident in adapting to work with complex electronic systems.
