Job summary

The Royal Ballet School in Manchester is seeking a dedicated piano accompanist for the UK Scholars programme. The successful candidate will provide piano accompaniment for UK Scholars classes for the Royal Ballet School in Manchester, supporting the teachers and students during rehearsals and lessons.

Experience in accompanying educational dance settings is desirable. The role is fixed-term, Saturdays and Sundays, with pay at £30.60 per hour and a schedule that includes specified autumn, spring

• Ability to accompany a range of classes, including classical and character dance.
• Good sight-reading skills.

Responsibilities

• Accompany UK Scholar ballet classes, character and music classes.
• Prepare and learn required pieces; provide suitable music as directed by the teacher.
• Maintain professional etiquette with students and staff at all times.
• Support the class teacher as needed.
• Take on other duties within the scope of the role.
