Our client, a family-owned bakery business, is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Bakery Product Developer to join their team.

This role is pivotal in creating, testing, and refining recipes for baked bread products, balancing the art of traditional baking with the science of ingredient interaction.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in the latest trends in baking and possess a strong passion for culinary innovation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Product Development: Conceptualise new bakery product ideas, formulate recipes, and conduct thorough product trials and tests to ensure quality and appeal.
  2. Recipe Innovation: Research and develop new recipes for baked goods with a focus on retail markets, ensuring products meet evolving consumer preferences.
  3. Quality Assurance: Monitor baking processes, making necessary adjustments to maintain high standards of taste and quality.
  4. Product Presentation: Produce new products weekly for management review and feedback, and present these creations to customers.
  5. Sensory and Shelf-Life Testing: Conduct sensory evaluations and shelf-life tests to ensure products meet both taste and practicality criteria.
  6. Health and Safety: Ensure adherence to all health and safety policies, contributing to a safe working environment.
