Job summary

The Bread Factory, the UK’s leading artisan bakery, is seeking a maintenance engineer to keep equipment and plant running smoothly across our bakery operations. You will react quickly to breakdowns, perform PLC fault finding, and address issues from HAACP audits to support quality production.

Qualifications

• Must be logically minded with proactive fault resolution.
• Electrically and mechanically skilled with NVQ/C&G 2330 or equivalent.
• Qualified to BS7671:2008 (2382-15) 18th Edition; ready to upgrade as editions are released.
• HNC Level 4 in electrical/mechanical engineering desirable.
• Experience with bakery machinery and CMMS; HAACP awareness.
• Strong troubleshooting of electrical equipment required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and plant across the bakery operations.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and efficiently.
• Perform PLC fault finding to input/output level.
• Address issues highlighted by HAACP audits.
• Respond to out-of-hours calls for breakdowns.
