Job summary

Cornish Bakery invites a Kitchen Team Leader to guide a busy bakery kitchen, develop the team and ensure every product is prepared with care and pride. You’ll lead baking and food production, coach colleagues, and keep the kitchen running safely and efficiently even under pressure.

Qualifications

• Experience in a kitchen, bakery or food-production environment
• Ability to organise work and motivate others
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen handling
• Proven leadership and coaching skills
• Ability to manage pace and priorities in busy periods
• Pride in producing high-quality food and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Lead baking and food production to high standards and deadlines
• Organise daily preparation and maintain calm, efficient kitchen during busy periods
• Train, coach and support colleagues in food preparation and safe practices
• Maintain hygiene, allergen controls, stock rotation and cleanliness
• Place orders, receive deliveries, manage stock and waste
• Perform quality and safety checks and act on any deviations
• Support bakery management with day-to-day operations
