Job summary

Hovis is seeking a Hygiene Operative to uphold high hygiene standards across the bakery environment and contribute to product quality. You will perform daily cleaning tasks, follow instruction cards, and work as a flexible team member focused on safety, quality, and customer service.

Ideal candidates have 3 months in cleaning within manufacturing or contract roles, with good timekeeping. Desirable COSHH training and Basic Food Hygiene certification are beneficial for this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 month’s experience of cleaning within a contract cleaning role or within the manufacturing industry.
• Able to work across plants and tasks with flexibility
• Demonstrates strong timekeeping and attendance
• Desirable: COSHH training or related hygiene qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver high cleaning standards in bakery environments, aligned with customer expectations.
• Fulfill daily hygiene tasks and follow cleaning instruction cards.
• Be a flexible, quality-, safety- and customer-service-focused team member.
• Ensure all hygiene documentation is completed accurately and on time.
