Min 14 Hours P/W - possibly more hours when the store needs.

Various shifts available between 6:45am & 2:00pm including some weekends.

We have an exciting opportunity for a SPAR Customer Team Member in our Food-To-Go Department. As a Customer Team Member at SPAR, you will support store management and create a positive customer experience. Your role includes maximizing sales and profit through various tasks, contributing to store improvement, and delivering excellent customer service through ‘Brilliant Basics, Moments of Wow, Food for later and Food for now!’

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

• Greeting customers warmly and professionally.
• Answering inquiries and assisting customers in finding products.
• Processing purchases efficiently at the tills and maintaining friendly service.
• Upselling products and promoting multi-buy offers.
• Following food handling, safety, and sanitation standards when storing, preparing, and serving food.

Store Operations:

• Checking deliveries, stocking shelves, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.
• Rotating stock to ensure freshness and proper expiration date management.
• Completing tasks like date checking, stock and gap checks, price updates, and promotional displays.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures.

Key Skills/Knowledge:

• Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to follow instructions.
• Understanding of retail legislation and compliance.
• Ability to contribute ideas for exceptional customer service and business growth.
• Experience with ‘Challenge 25’ policy is desirable.
• Enthusiastic team player with the ability to work independently.
• Cash handling experience is a plus but not essential.
