Job summary

Westmorland Limited is seeking a hands-on bakery production assistant to join our farmshop bakery team in Gloucestershire. You will help produce our range of biscuits, traybakes and cakes to a high standard and in line with our specifications.

You will support production schedules, assist with fulfilling orders, and ensure food safety checks are completed and recorded. Training will be provided if you have prior bakery experience, and a passion for baking is welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in bakery or food production is preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality bakery products following production schedules.
• Help fulfill orders and ensure sufficient production to meet trade levels.
• Ensure food safety requirements are met and checks are completed and recorded.

Know your Victoria sponge from your fruit cake? Our bakers are responsible for producing our exceptional range of biscuits, traybakes and cakes sold in our farmshops and kitchens. You will make sure we can delight our customers by achieving a high standards of food quality and presentation; in line with company standards and that adequate quantities are produced to fulfil the requirements of the business.

Adhering to the production schedules you will help the team in ensuring orders are fulfilled and sufficient products are produced for expected levels of trade whilst ensuring products are of a consistent high quality and produced in line with our specifications. You will also ensure food safety requirements are met and all required checks are completed and recorded as required.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a passion for baking to join our hard working, friendly bakery team. Previous experience working in a bakery or food production environment would be an advantage but full training will be given.
