What you will be doing

The Backup & Storage Engineer provides technical expertise in data protection, supporting BAU teams with complex issues, data restoration, performance tuning, and documentation. You will work within our VMware, Storage, and Backup team supporting HPE/Dell storage technologies and backup/disaster recovery solutions, ensuring SLAs are met.

Your responsibilities include:

• Ensure scalability and performance of storage and backup environments through capacity planning and configuration adjustments.
• Monitor system operation and provide utilization reports to identify issues.
• Monitor performance, errors, and warnings on compute and storage systems.
• Maintain storage and compute policies and standards.
• Troubleshoot performance issues and propose solutions.
• Keep infrastructure updated with patches and maintenance.

In return for your commitment

We offer a salary between £46,000 - £55,000, plus benefits including:

• Discretionary bonus up to 15%.
