Shift Manager Role

The Shift Manager reports to the Operations Manager and leads all aspects of the daily shift operation in a cost-effective and productive manner. The role ensures service levels meet agreed standards and manages team performance to achieve customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the warehousing operation for the shift, ensuring effective and accurate sortation of goods.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies in a safe and proactive manner.
• Manage costs and performance of the shift.
• Lead and engage the team to deliver excellent customer service.
• Manage performance, conduct, absence, engagement, and training of team members, holding them accountable to standards.
• Monitor KPIs, identify improvement actions, and communicate effectively.
• Provide shift summaries and handover records, detailing any exceptions and actions taken.

Essential Criteria

• Previous experience in logistics or distribution industry.
