Job description

The Warehouse Operative assists in the sortation, storage, loading, and unloading of products within the warehouse operation. This role works on behalf of our customers to ensure they receive the correct freight at the right time, upholding our promise of delivering exactly.

Key responsibilities

1. Represent DX in a professional manner at all times.
2. Follow all aspects of DX Manual Handling and safe working policies.
3. Handle all freight with care and attention.
4. Access and egress vehicles using the correct means.
5. Use the correct equipment and methods for handling and moving all freight.
6. Ensure all deliveries are loaded safely prior to leaving the depot.
7. Report all damages immediately to your line manager.
8. Ensure all freight being loaded or unloaded matches relevant paperwork/scanner information.
9. Ensure customers' freight is transported and stored safely and treated with respect.
10. Ensure the security of freight and company assets by reporting any suspicious activity to your line manager or the security team.
11. Keep the warehouse tidy and report H&S issues immediately.

Additional information on this role

If you currently have an FLT licence, that would be advantageous, as would experience with high-volume warehousing operations.
