Job Description

The successful candidate will be working on the continuous development of our multiple proprietary RegTech software solutions, in an Agile environment. The engineer will primarily work on a LAMP-based technology stack, using PHP framework Symfony 7 and above, for developing backend microservices.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a dynamic development team on PHP application development
• Contribute to the development of our software architecture
• Develop new software modules based on business process specifications
• Resolve bug fix tickets in the codebase
• Collaborate with superusers to define business requirements for new features
• Maintain awareness of security risks and solutions
• Write clean, efficient code following OOP SOLID principles

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience with modern PHP frameworks (Symfony or Laravel preferred)
• At least 4 years of experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Knowledge of OOP SOLID principles
• Experience designing robust REST APIs
• Experience writing automated unit tests
• Experience with relational databases
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases is a plus
• Experience with queueing systems like RabbitMQ is a plus
• Experience with caching systems is a plus
• Familiarity with IDEs and CI tools (Bitbucket, Jira, etc.)
• Willingness to learn about financial compliance processes

Qualifications and Experience

• 4+ years of commercial PHP development experience
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Enthusiasm for learning and growth
• Process-oriented with clear goals and focus
