Job summary

Goldman Sachs in London is seeking a backend software engineer to join our Java/Spring microservices teams, building scalable platforms that move data and decisions at market speed.

You will work with UI/UX designers, data scientists, cloud engineers, and global teams in a collaborative, agile environment, applying best practices across the SDLC and delivering reliable services with MongoDB backing stores.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years experience with Java, Spring & Non-SQL technologies such as MongoDB.
• Experience with micro-services, java deployments & DevOps tools such as Gitlab.
• Full understanding of software development lifecycle best practices.
• Strong communication and documentation skills for global teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with trading, sales, asset management, banking and others to build scalable solutions.
• Join embedded or core engineering teams and deliver reliable platforms for data engineering and ML workflows.
• Develop micro-services in Java/Spring and interact with MongoDB.
• Contribute across the SDLC including testing, monitoring and deployment.
