Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net SQL) *London onsite* to £180k+

Are you a skilled Backend Software Engineer with a strong academic background? Join a Hedge Fund managing over $17 billion, working on complex systems.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you will collaborate with technologists and finance experts to develop algorithmic trading systems using a modern tech stack, with opportunities for technical ownership from day one.

You will partner with Quant teams to design valuation, risk, and pricing systems, delivering scalable, high-performance streaming operations. You will have access to the latest equipment and industry experts to support your growth.

Location / WFH:

This role is based full-time in London (Soho) offices, featuring facilities like nutritious meals and snacks. Note: this is an in-office role (Monday to Friday).

About you:

• Excellent academic record, minimum 2.1 in a STEM discipline from a top-tier university (Russel Group or top 100 global), with A grades at A-level
• Strong C# .Net skills, including .Net Core (considering candidates with Java, Python, or C++ willing to switch to C#)
• Solid knowledge of SQL databases
• Understanding of Computer Science fundamentals: OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
• Entrepreneurial mindset with good business acumen, eager to lead projects
• Collaborative, problem-solver, and idea-sharer
