Backend Software Engineer / Developer (Linux SQL C++17) Slough / WFH to £110k

Global-leading FinTech is seeking a senior Backend Software Engineer to take ownership of strategic enhancements on their core platform, as well as directly on bespoke client projects.

The organisation is a pioneer in the field of cross-asset securities and derivatives post-trade processing technology, and have created ground-breaking, adaptable software that produces secure and scalable solutions for peak operational efficiency and optimum business performance for their clients.

As a Backend Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and building unique technical solutions, meeting user requirements and contributing to the evolution of the cutting-edge platform.

Location / WFH:

You'll join colleagues in the Slough office three days a week with flexibility to work from home the other two days.

About you:

• You have strong C++ development experience on Linux or UNIX, C++14 and above
• You have good SQL skills
• You're a passionate technologist who is motivated by working on cutting-edge systems and engineering complex solutions
• You're a positive, proactive team member who excels when working collaboratively
• You have a strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• You're degree educated, having achieved a 2.1 or above in a STEM discipline
• Ideally you will have experience working in a financial services or trading environment although technical skills are of far greater importance
