Job summary

ElevenLabs is looking for an experienced backend-leaning full-stack engineer to build and scale the voice systems at the core of ElevenLabs. You will own backend architecture and production systems, collaborating with research engineering and security to deliver reliable, scalable features.

You will modernise data models, storage and APIs, improve voice cloning pipelines with monitoring and retries, and own workstreams from design to production, including frontend changes where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling high-traffic production systems.
• Strong data modeling, concurrency, migrations and security.
• Experience operating production services with monitoring and failure recovery.
• Independent ownership and clear communication across the stack.

Responsibilities

• Modernising voice architecture, including data models, storage and APIs.
• Making voice cloning and fine‑tuning pipelines reliable through monitoring, retries and failure recovery.
• Building voice creation, verification and recommendation capabilities.
• Owning workstreams from design to production, including frontend changes where needed.
