Job summary

Dassault Systèmes in Cambridge is seeking a Software Engineer - Materials Management to join a cloud-only SaaS team. You will contribute to backend features, scalable APIs, and multi-tenant cloud deployments within the Materials Management service of the BIOVIA suite, collaborating with an agile, international group of software professionals.

You will work on modern backend tooling, drive code quality through peer reviews, and help shape roadmaps while maintaining deep test coverage and high

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, STEM, or related discipline.
• RESTful API design for large-scale SaaS.
• Experience with automated backend testing (JUnit, Mocha/Jest).
• Ownership mindset, agile, and proactive communication.
• Interest in materials science or scientific informatics.

Responsibilities

• Build out a broad set of new backend features enabling complex scientific workflows in entirely new business areas.
• Shape project roadmaps, ensuring deep test coverage and a highly maintainable, resilient codebase.
• Proactively research and introduce cutting-edge backend tools, design patterns, and engineering practices to the team.
• Enhance data processing pipelines, concurrency models, and multi-tenant capabilities for public and private cloud deployments.
• Lead and participate in rigorous peer reviews, ensuring a clean, robust, and maintainable codebase.
