The Spotify Security team is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our Product Security area within the Security studio. What You'll Do

• Design and develop products, services, and infrastructure to support and enhance our technical security strategy.
• Build robust infrastructure and tooling to improve security across our distributed environment.
• Drive scalability, optimization, and consistency in our security engineering practices.

Who You Are

• At least 1+ years of experience with an object-oriented programming language such as Java, Scala, or similar in a production environment.
• Experience or interest in modern frontend development, including frameworks like React and languages like TypeScript.
• Basic knowledge or interest in backend services focusing on reliability and scalability.
• Strong understanding of system design, data structures, algorithms, and a willingness to improve performance skills.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Team-oriented, enjoys discussion, problem-solving, and iterative development.
• Curiosity about security principles, including threat modeling and risk management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate ideas effectively.

Where You'll Be

• This role is based in London or Stockholm.
• Flexible work arrangement with some in-person meetings; expected to work from the office 3 times per week.
