Full Stack Software Engineer / Backend Engineer

Location

Our Full Stack Software Engineer will be an integral part of our Engineering teams in EMEA. This role is based remotely in EMEA in one of our legal entities: the UK, Ireland, Estonia, or Spain. It is also available to contractors in other East European locations and Portugal.

The Opportunity

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be working on improving the DoiT Cloud Intelligence product and implementing new features. You'll collaborate with product managers and developers from other teams and participate in product-making decisions.

Responsibilities

1. Implement features from proposal, through specification, to implementation and maintenance. Propose new ideas to enhance our products.
2. Review code. Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
3. Improve the health of the codebase. Dedicate time to housekeeping to reduce technical debt.
4. Provide feedback during planning and discussions to identify challenges early.

Qualifications

1. 4+ years of software development experience.
2. Full Stack engineer or Frontend/Backend engineer eager to learn Full Stack development. Preference for stronger backend skills if not fully Full Stack.
3. Solid understanding of programming languages, ideally Python and React, with knowledge of Go. Willingness to learn these languages if not already familiar.
4. Experience with Cloud solutions and services is advantageous but not mandatory.
5. Commitment to continuous learning and development.
6. Knowledge of software engineering best practices.
7. Passion for creating high-quality web/SaaS applications.
8. Experience with Git/GitHub.
9. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
10. Self-organized, goal-oriented, confident, thorough, and tenacious.
11. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
12. A sense of humor and enjoyment of a fun work atmosphere.

Bonus Points

1. Experience with time series modeling, especially forecasting.
2. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
3. Experience with Google Cloud or AWS in a production environment.
