Job summary

kwiff is seeking an experienced backend engineer to join our team. You will build in Node.js and TypeScript, design scalable microservice architectures and ensure fault-tolerant systems with a strong focus on code quality and testing.

Shaping a scalable architecture for our sportsbook platform, you will discuss feasibility, ROI, and trade-offs with product as we move from MVP to fully-fledged features. You will own your code, build it, test it, ship it, and monitor it in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Node.js/TypeScript backend development.
• Familiarity with microservices and serverless architectures.
• Strong knowledge of relational database design (MySQL/Postgres) and caching layers.

You will have a good working knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, micro-service architectures, serverless, relational databases and designing fault-tolerant systems. It is important that you have a strong focus on quality: well written code, pride in testing, and a holistic, end-to-end approach to development.
