Ocho is hiring a Backend Engineer in Belfast to build and scale cloud security solutions. You will own the full development lifecycle and drive architectural decisions across high-scale platforms. The role offers hybrid work and a chance to impact real-world security challenges.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience in any high-performing language.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Exposure to data-intensive systems (databases, messaging, event-driven systems).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices.
• Experience with microservices architectures.

Responsabilités

• Owning the full development lifecycle – from design and development through to deployment and monitoring.
• Making technical and architectural decisions that impact high-scale cloud security platforms.
• Improving the performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems.
• Conducting design and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
• Collaborating closely with Frontend, DevOps, and Security teams.
