Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience with infrastructure/platform exposure.

• Engineering for serious scale: Building robust, high performance backend infrastructure capable of supporting demanding enterprise workloads.


• Powering AI at enterprise level: Tackling the challenges of high volume LLM processing, token throughput, real time operations and AI provider reliability.


• Creating the foundations for faster innovation: Developing shared services, abstractions and internal tools that enable engineering teams to move quickly.


• Solving complex distributed systems challenges: Working across databases, job orchestration, asynchronous processing and infrastructure reliability.


• Shaping technical architecture: Making important decisions around scalability, observability, authentication, system performance and resilience.


• Raising the engineering bar: Helping establish strong engineering practices and building technology designed to perform from day one.

Ideally, you'll have:

• 3+ years of experience in backend engineering, with exposure to infrastructure or platform engineering.


• Strong software engineering fundamentals and an ability to design scalable, production ready systems.


• Experience with distributed architectures, PostgreSQL, queueing systems and large scale data processing.


• A solid understanding of performance optimisation, benchmarking and system reliability.


• An interest in, or experience with, LLM infrastructure and AI native technology.


• The confidence to take ownership across APIs, infrastructure, databases and backend services.


• A pragmatic approach to engineering, with the ability to balance technical excellence with getting things built.
