Lloyds is seeking a Backend Software Engineer to design and implement Golang microservices powering innovative financial products. You will collaborate with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions and help shape system design, architecture and engineering practices.

You’ll contribute to a connected platform delivering data-driven insights, enabling integrations, and building scalable, resilient systems that help customers manage their money.

Qualificações

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience building backend services in Golang for financial products.
• Familiarity with microservices architectures and containerised environments.
• Experience with real-time data processing and event-driven systems.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the stack including network and DB layers.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.

• As a Backend Software Engineer, you’ll build elegant, performant, maintainable, operable and secure Golang microservices that power innovative financial products and services
• You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to deliver customer-focused solutions, contribute to system design and architecture, champion engineering best practice, and help continuously improve development processes
• You’ll play a key role in building a connected platform, developing data-driven financial insights, enabling integrations with leading applications and services, and supporting the delivery of scalable, resilient systems that help customers better manage their money

• A generous holiday allowance: You’ll be eligible for a minimum of 22 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), rising to 30 days based on length of service and grade.

Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases Strong communication and collaboration skills Experience deploying and operating applications in containerised environments, ideally Kubernetes Experience working with DevOps or SRE teams to support production environments Ability to diagnose and resolve issues across the application stack, including network, server and database layers Experience building and supporting microservices architectures Experience working within agile development environments Experience building concurrent, distributed applications at scale Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Golang A passion for learning, continuous improvement and delivering high-quality software Experience with event-driven architectures Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or other messaging technologies Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or BigQuery Exposure to data platforms, ETL processes or machine learning-enabled products Previous experience within fintech, payments or a fast-paced startup environment Knowledge of AWS, Docker and CI/CD practices Experience of real-time, low-latency transaction-based systems Experience mentoring, coaching or supporting the development of other engineers
