Ecofamilies is seeking a Backend Developer to architect, optimize, and maintain the server-side logic that powers our digital marketplace and ecosystem. You will design robust RESTful and GraphQL APIs, ensure scalable data handling, and integrate secure payment workflows to support multi-vendor transactions.

The role emphasizes high-performance, low-latency backend components with strong security practices, in a hybrid UK-based work setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend software engineering experience on production-grade platforms.
• Proficiency in Node.js (TypeScript), Python (Django/FastAPI) or Go.
• Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases and caching systems.
• Familiarity with cloud deployments, containers, and CI/CD workflows.
• Awareness of secure coding practices and UK GDPR alignment.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable server-side logic, APIs, and data models.
• Optimize relational and non-relational databases; design efficient data pipelines.
• Develop secure payment workflows and multi-vendor transaction functionality.
• Ensure security auditing, OAuth2/JWT, RBAC, and incident response readiness.
• Lead DevOps activities: AWS/GCP, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
