Slim Chickens York is seeking a Back of House Supervisor to oversee kitchen operations, lead the team, and ensure food safety and high-quality dishes in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage inventory, coordinate with Front of House, and train staff to uphold our brand’s standards. Applicants should have supervisory experience and strong leadership skills, with a flexible weekend schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a kitchen or similar fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and deliver consistent, high-quality dishes.
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing all back-of-house operations to ensure efficient and consistent food preparation.
• Leading, mentoring, and motivating the kitchen team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Managing inventory, monitoring food stock, and ensuring timely ordering of supplies.
• Collaborating with the Front of House Supervisor to ensure seamless service.
• Handling kitchen-related issues and resolving them promptly to maintain smooth operations.
• Supporting staff training and development to uphold our brand’s high standards.
• Creating a positive, productive work environment where the kitchen team can thrive.
