Job summary

Marston's is seeking a Back of House Skills Trainer to join our Learning, Leadership & Inclusion team on a permanent basis. You will deliver Back of House training across the UK, using face-to-face, digital and blended methods to develop kitchen teams and pub staff.

You’ll work with cross-functional colleagues to translate business needs into practical training. A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are required for nationwide travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of learning solutions for Back of House operations, from development to facilitation.
• Deliver engaging sessions face-to-face, digitally and blended learning.
• Turn business needs into practical learning for pub teams.
• Collaborate with Menu Development, Commercial Marketing and Operations to tailor learning.
• Travel nationwide to support sites across the UK.

Back of House Skills Trainer - £37,000 + £7,500 car allowance

Due to internal career progression, we’re looking for a Back of House Skills Trainer to join our Learning, Leadership & Inclusion team on a permanent basis.

You’ll play an important role in supporting Marston’s ambition to be the #1 Local Pub Company in the UK, helping our kitchen and pub teams develop the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to deliver great food and brilliant experiences for our guests.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll manage the end-to-end delivery of learning solutions focused on Back of House operations, from supporting the development of training through to delivering engaging sessions face-to-face, digitally and through blended learning.

Working closely with teams across the business, including Menu Development, Commercial Marketing and Operations, you’ll turn business needs into practical and engaging learning that works for our pub teams.

We’re looking for someone who understands the realities of a busy kitchen environment and can use that experience to bring learning to life. You’ll be a natural coach and confident communicator, comfortable presenting to groups, building relationships and adapting your approach for different audiences.

As this is a nationwide role, regular travel will be required, so you’ll need a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

• A full UK driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel nationwide

It would also be great if you have

• Knowledge of Power BI, Reputation and Beanstore/EPOS systems
• An understanding of hospitality policies and practices, including food safety, EHO requirements and stock management
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applicationsCIPD Learning & Development or HR Qualification desirable
