Job summary

Enso Recruitment is partnering with a globally recognised organisation at the heart of international financial markets to hire a .NET Developer for their Belfast engineering team. You will join a newly formed squad delivering a cloud-native platform transformation, building back end services and APIs using .NET C# within a distributed architecture.

You will work with cutting-edge technology, gain exposure to best-in-class architecture, and contribute to a high-impact, strategic initiative.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in back end software development.
• Solid experience with C# (.NET 8+) and back end development.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Comfortable working with Git and version control best practices.
• Experience in technical platform teams delivering reusable services.
• Ability to collaborate with BAs and Product Owners to clarify requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design and development of back end services and APIs in a cloud-based distributed architecture.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK to automate deployment.
• Maintain high-quality code through unit testing and automated testing.
• Work with BAs, QA and Product teams to deliver solutions aligned with requirements.
• Support Agile delivery through planning, estimation and prioritisation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to minimise business impact.
• Contribute to modernisation of the technology landscape and document configurations.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design and development of back end services and APIs using .NET C# within a cloud-based distributed architecture
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK to automate deployment and resource management
• Ensure high-quality code through unit testing, automated testing, and strong adherence to engineering best practices
• Work closely with BAs, QA, and Product teams to deliver solutions that align with business requirements
• Support Agile delivery through active participation in planning, estimation, and prioritisation activities
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly to minimise business impact
• Contribute to the simplification and modernisation of the broader technology landscape
• Maintain clear documentation of code, processes, and system configurations

About You

• 3+ years' experience in back end software development
• Solid professional experience with C# (.NET 8+) and back end development
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Comfortable working with Git and version control best practices
• Experience working in technical platform teams delivering reusable services across multiple projects
• Able to work collaboratively with BAs and Product Owners to clarify requirements and constructively challenge assumptions where needed
