Job summary

Maxwell Bond in Liverpool is seeking a Senior Backend .NET Developer to build and maintain scalable backend services using C#, .NET Core and cloud technologies within a collaborative engineering team.

You’ll work with SQL Server, MongoDB, Redis and message queues like RabbitMQ or MassTransit, in a modern DevOps environment with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD.

This hybrid role offers influence over technical direction and mentoring opportunities as the team grows.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with C# and .NET / .NET Core.
• Experience with SQL Server, MongoDB and Redis.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or MassTransit.
• Experience with Azure, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Azure DevOps, Terraform and Git.
• Experience working within an Agile / Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable backend applications using C#, .NET Core and modern cloud technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, Product and QA teams to drive technical decisions.

We’re working with a successful business in Liverpool that continues to grow year on year. They’re expanding their engineering team and Senior Backend Developer to play a key role in building and improving scalable applications.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, architects, Product and QA teams, with genuine opportunities to contribute to technical decisions and development best practices.

The engineering team follows modern development practices, with a strong focus on clean architecture, microservices, cloud technologies, DevOps and continuous improvement.

The role
