About Your New Company

The nursery is a medium-sized setting operating from 8am to 6pm. It features an outdoor classroom, playground, green spaces, and a forest school opposite. Conveniently located with good transport links to Brighton and Hove, it is a short walk from the train station and offers on-site parking. The nursery seeks a confident, friendly individual to engage children and oversee their development. It has a supportive, educational approach and promotes career development from within.

Your New Role

You will be the Room Lead in the Baby Room, responsible for building relationships with staff, children, and families. Your role involves engaging children in learning, helping them develop new skills and independence. The nursery minimizes paperwork to maximize time spent making a positive impact on children’s lives. You will support daily operations and use your initiative to help children succeed.

Requirements

• Recent experience in a nursery/primary/pre-prep environment within the last 2 years, with references
• A clean, enhanced DBS check or willingness to undergo one
• Flexibility and a fun personality that engages children

Additional qualifications and experience include:

• Level 3 Qualification in Early Years
• Good knowledge of EYFS
• Experience as or willingness to become a key person with daily contact with parents

Working hours: 35-40 hours per week.
