Job summary

Tesco UK is seeking an Assistant Merchandiser for our Baby department. You will support merchandising operations, provide analysis, and collaborate with planning managers and suppliers to ensure products are in the right place at the right time.

You will collate market insights, help build balanced ranges, and lead order management and stock control across channels. The role requires analytical thinking, curiosity, and strong communication, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Provide merchandising support and prepare analysis for your manager (incl. Monday trade analysis) and collaborate with the HSC Merchandising team and suppliers.
• Collate and share market and competitor insight to understand what customers want.
• Help build balanced ranges to meet sales, stock and profit targets.
• Lead all aspects of order management critical paths, line projections and ensure databases are up-to-date.
• Handle intake to ensure product availability and support launches and events.
• Produce weekly sub class WSSI and line flows for tracking sales, margin and stock.
• Prepare analysis to handle risk, suggesting stock repeats and markdown opportunities.
• Schedule and implement promotions and markdowns across channels and regions.
• Resolve supply chain/replenishment issues to hit stock and availability targets.
• Support the MPM in preparation for sign off and strategy; analyse history, trends and best/worst.
