Job description

At Little Workshop Day Nursery, we cater to children from 2 months- 5 years. We provide a quality Early Years Education and care in a warm, happy, secure and caring environment in High Wycombe. We are an inclusive, child focused environment that values diversity and promotes equality.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baby and Toddler Room Nursery Room Leader to join our vibrant team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about early childhood education and eager to gain hands-on experience in a nursery setting. You will support the development and care of children, fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes learning through play.

Essential Criteria

A qualified Level 3 practitioner in childcare and early childhood education is essential.
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities while working as part of a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and willingness to learn from experienced practitioners.

Responsibilities

-Knowledge of safeguarding and protecting children is paramount
- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning.

-Leading staff and guiding them
- Provide high-quality childcare in accordance with nursery policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive atmosphere.
- Help manage daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and play sessions.
- Observe and record children's progress, contributing to their individual learning plans.
- Support the leadership team in maintaining a safe, clean, and organised nursery environment.
- Drive initiatives that encourage children's social skills, independence, and confidence.

Pay: From £12.50 per hour
