Job description

Our Community Mental Health Recovery Services are Secondary Mental Health Teams that provide assessments for evidence-based, time-limited treatments and psychological interventions for adults with severe and enduring mental health issues. The focus of our service is promoting recovery, independence, and developing self-management strategies to help individuals achieve their potential in the community.

As our clinical lead, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing clinical leadership and supervision for all Band 6 clinicians within the CMHRS Team. Additionally, you will foster a culture that encourages individuals to actively participate in identifying, planning, and meeting their needs. You will deputise for the Service Manager in their absence and undertake management responsibilities as required.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Ensuring clinicians maintain manageable workloads through supervision.
  2. Leading and participating in meetings.
  3. Reporting complaints and incidents related to patients, relatives, or staff, and cooperating with investigations.
  4. Promoting liaison with statutory and voluntary agencies involved in Mental Health, supporting junior staff to understand the role of the Primary Care Mental Health Senior Nurse Practitioner within Primary and Secondary Care.
  5. Deputising for the Service Manager when needed.
  6. Contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures based on best practice and evidence to support the Primary Care Mental Health Team.
