Job summary

William Reed Ltd in London is seeking an Events Manager to deliver high-profile conferences, awards and networking events for retailers, brands, suppliers and industry leaders across the retail sector.

You will own end-to-end delivery from initial planning through to on-site execution and post-event evaluation, manage budgets and supplier relationships, coordinate speakers and sponsors, and collaborate with internal teams to create exceptional experiences for attendees and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience managing events from planning through to delivery, ideally within a corporate, B2B, agency or commercial events environment.
• Confidence taking ownership of events and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience coordinating conferences, awards or other stakeholder-led events, including sponsor and speaker management.
• Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with clients, sponsors, suppliers, venues and colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of conferences, awards and networking events from initial planning through to on-site delivery and post-event completion
• Creating and managing detailed project plans and critical paths to ensure successful delivery against agreed timelines
• Managing event budgets, supplier relationships and venue sourcing to deliver commercially successful events
• Coordinating event logistics, including speakers, sponsors, catering, audio-visual requirements and technical production
• Building strong relationships with sponsors, venues, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless event experience
• Taking ownership of on-site event delivery, proactively resolving issues and ensuring events are executed to a high standard
