Position: B2 Avionics Mechanic

Location: Birmingham, United Kingdom

In this role, you will carry out avionics modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved data and engineering documentation. You will take full ownership of the quality and compliance of your work, ensuring safe practices and timely communication with the Lead Technician or B2 Engineer.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Precise wiring terminations and testing
• Removal and installation of shelves, panels, and equipment
• Interpretation of technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory requirements
• Loom manufacture and testing
• Support avionics system testing, validation, and troubleshooting
• Maintain high standards of tool control within the work area
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment

Skills and Abilities:

• Completed an engineering apprenticeship, ideally in Aeronautical engineering or military equivalent
• Previous aircraft modification experience
• Experience in aircraft production is advantageous
• Excellent manual skills
• Attention to detail
• Eligible to work and live in the UK
• Subject to UK security vetting
• Excellent knowledge of avionics systems
• Reliable and adaptable
• Good interpersonal skills

Part-145 Training Requirements:

• Initial and continuation training in Human Factors
• Initial SFAR phase 1 & 2; continuation training in SFAR phase 1 & 2
• Initial and continuation training in EWIS groups 1 & 2 (including Module G practical)
• ETOPS
• RVSM
