Job summary

CDW in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer to join a dedicated AVD support team. You will manage and optimise the Azure Virtual Desktop estate, provide hands-on end-user support, and ensure high availability across the platform.

This remote-first role includes UK SC clearance as part of a shared on-call rota (1-in-3) and occasional travel to the Gloucester Business Park site.

Qualifications

• Experience with managing and supporting Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
• Hands-on administration of Azure infrastructure and related services.
• Proven FSLogix profile management in multi-user environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for EUC/VDI setups.
• Customer-focused support in a service-oriented environment.
• UK Security Clearance (SC) required, 1-in-3 on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the full Azure Virtual Desktop estate.
• Provide hands-on end-user support within a dedicated AVD team.
• Configure host pools, images, access, and resource groups for AVD.
• Optimise multi-user environments using FSLogix/NetApp (or equivalent).
• Maintain high availability and disaster recovery for AVD components.
• Participate in a 1-in-3 on-call rota and travel to Gloucester as needed.

What you will do

• Support and administer the full Azure Virtual Desktop estate
• Provide hands‑on support to end users within a dedicated AVD support team
• Manage host pools, images, user/application access, resource groups and overall AVD configuration
• Optimise and support multi‑user environments using FSLogix and NetApp (or equivalent technologies)
• Ensure high availability, resilience and disaster recovery across all AVD components
• Participate in an on‑call rota (1‑in‑3)
• Travel occasionally to the Gloucester Business Park site when required (remote‑first role)
