Job description

Role: Azure Solution Architect

Job Type: Contract

Day Rate: £400 per day (inside IR35)

Duration: 3 Months + likely to be extended till March’25

Work Location: Ideally commutable to London, Bristol, or Manchester office

Mandatory Criteria: SC Clearance is mandatory

Responsibilities:

1. Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or Cloud Solution Architect in Azure environments.
2. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, cloud governance, and Azure Well-Architected Framework.
3. Expertise in designing and delivering secure and scalable solutions in Azure.
4. Experience with cloud networking, storage, and compute services (e.g., VNETs, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Azure Front Door, Azure App Service, Azure Storage).
5. Familiarity with Azure Policies, Management Groups, and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) for governance.
6. Ability to balance technical innovation with organisational constraints and risk considerations.
7. Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance requirements in a public sector context.
8. Experience in creating infrastructure High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs), incorporating Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs).
9. Proficiency in automation tools and IaC (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates).
10. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
