Job summary

Arcus Search is seeking a Security Solution Architect specializing in Data Protection and Azure Cloud Security. The role demands senior experience delivering end-to-end security architectures in regulated financial services environments, with emphasis on data governance, lifecycle controls, and strong cloud security posture.

You will define architecture principles, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure solutions are compliant with GDPR, DORA, PCI-DSS and SOX.

Qualifications

• End-to-end security architecture in large, regulated environments with governance and stakeholder engagement.
• Data classification, discovery, governance, retention and lifecycle controls across data types.
• Strong cloud security experience in Azure/AWS and application/infrastructure protection.
• Familiarity with GDPR, DORA, PCI-DSS, SOX and related regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage IT, risk, compliance and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions aligned with enterprise architecture frameworks.
• Provide technical security guidance to IT and business teams.
• Collaborate with cross-divisional engineering teams to develop high-level security designs for new apps and platforms.
• Define architecture principles, tools, and standards for Cloud Security and Data Protection domains.
• Translate business requirements and risk assessments into security architecture requirements.
• Facilitate consistent application of security best practices across projects.
• Participate in high-level IT and operational process design discussions.
• Act as a subject matter expert and go-to person for the assigned security domain.
• Detect unaddressed security needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support secure technology adoption and innovation.
