Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Azure Platform Engineer to take real ownership of an Azure environment during a major technology transformation, building cloud-native solutions around Azure and the Microsoft ecosystem.

This hands-on senior role involves shaping the Azure platform, driving automation through Infrastructure as Code and governance, and leading projects with a focus on modern data workloads and Fabric integration.

Qualifications

• Proven Azure architecture and administration experience.
• Hands-on with IaC and automation.
• Experience with security and governance in cloud.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of engineering across the Azure estate.
• Design and improve Azure infrastructure, networking, identity and security.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Work with Terraform and/or Bicep, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Git and CI/CD.
• Implement Azure governance, monitoring and security controls.
• Support the engineering platform behind Microsoft Fabric and modern data workloads.
• Lead technical projects and influence cloud architecture decisions.
• Replace legacy processes with automated solutions.
• Act as a senior technical escalation point for the platforms you build.
