Opus Recruitment Solutions Limited is seeking an Azure Platform Engineer for a contract role in Sheffield. The position focuses on scaling and supporting Azure services, automating with PowerShell, and implementing IaC with Terraform/Bicep/ARM.

The role requires strong governance, security controls, and troubleshooting across infrastructure, network, and applications. On-site three days a week, initial 3-month contract, £530 per day inside IR35.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience engineering and supporting Azure platforms at scale.
• Expert-level PowerShell automation experience and reusable tooling.
• IaC experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM and CI/CD integration.
• Experience with Azure VM image build and release processes.
• Strong knowledge of Azure Networking (VNets, NSGs, DNS, Private Endpoints).
• Experience implementing Azure governance and compliance controls.
• Ability to troubleshoot and lead resolution of complex production issues across infra, network and apps.
• Desirable: Landing Zones, Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions, Entra ID, policy authoring, AZ-104/AZ-305/AZ-400.
