Job Description:

We’re seeking a contract Azure Platform Architect to design and deliver developer-focused, application-ready platforms built on AKS and Terraform. Working within a regulated financial environment, you'll play a key role in enabling efficient, reliable, and compliant software delivery across teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and evolve Azure-based platforms to support containerized application delivery via AKS
• Define Terraform-based platform modules that enable consistent, reusable provisioning patterns
• Design solutions with a focus on developer experience, service onboarding, and environment consistency
• Support end-to-end SDLC integration, including CI/CD, configuration management, and progressive delivery
• Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps teams, and governance functions to align with enterprise delivery standards
• Provide technical guidance on platform adoption, service templates, and deployment best practices

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience architecting on AKS, including workload patterns, autoscaling, and multi-tenant design
• Proficient in Terraform for modular, scalable platform provisioning
• Deep understanding of application delivery pipelines, with solid grounding in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Familiarity with service discovery, ingress design, and runtime observability
• Experience supporting platforms in regulated environments (e.g. finance, insurance, healthcare)
• Strong communicator able to bridge platform capabilities with application team needs
