Azure Infrastructure Technical Lead/Manager

DGH Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a leading global client based in Birmingham who are looking for an Azure Technical Lead to join the team on a permanent basis.

You will provide technical leadership to my clients Azure environment whilst also providing guidance to a team of 3 engineers. You will be responsible for managing and optimizing Azure resources, deploying and configuring cloud infrastructure, automating workflows and processes, and ensuring security and compliance standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide Level 3 support across the breadth of Azure services, including but not limited to Azure IAAS, PAAS, Terraform, Containers, Subscription and Tenant management, DevOps, FinOps and Security.
2. Automate workflows and processes using Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or other tools.
3. Develop and implement strategic plans for Azure infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency. This includes designing disaster recovery solutions, automating deployments using Azure DevOps, and optimizing costs through the use of Azure Cost Management tools.
4. Lead and manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.

Required Skills/Experience:

1. Extensive hands-on knowledge of Azure services and features.
2. Experience in using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other tools for version control.
3. Familiarity with cloud security best practices and tools, such as Azure Security Centre or Azure Key Vault.
4. Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly desirable).
5. In-depth knowledge of Terraform, FinOps, Azure modernization, and security best practices.
