DGH Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading global client based in Birmingham who is looking for an Azure Infrastructure SME to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role is suitable for a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer / Lead who wants to continue working in a senior technical capacity while gaining team leadership experience for career progression into management.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing Level 3 support across Azure services, including Azure IaaS, PaaS, Terraform, Containers, Subscription and Tenant management, DevOps, FinOps, and Security.
• Automating workflows and processes using Logic Apps, Azure Functions, or other tools.
• Developing and implementing strategic plans for Azure infrastructure focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency, including designing disaster recovery solutions, automating deployments with Azure DevOps, and optimizing costs using Azure Cost Management tools.
• Leading and managing a team of IT professionals, offering guidance, support, and development opportunities.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure services and features.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub, or similar tools for version control.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools like Azure Security Centre or Azure Key Vault.
• Certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer Associate, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (highly desirable).
• Deep knowledge of Terraform, FinOps, Azure modernization, and security best practices.
