Job summary

The Citation Group is hiring a 3rd Line Engineer for its IT Service Desk to support multi-tenant Azure environments across the UK, Canada, and Australia. You will build, manage, and maintain infrastructure, handle escalated tickets, and contribute to security and identity changes.

You will work in a hybrid/remote setup with occasional travel to other offices, applying 3+ years of Azure/Entra ID experience to ensure reliable IT services for colleagues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Azure infrastructure and/or Entra ID identity & access administration.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, putting colleagues at the heart of everything you do.
• Proven organisational skills with good attention to detail.
• Comfortable balancing planned project work with reactive incident/ticket demands.

Responsibilities

• 3rd line support of incidents within SLAs.
• Contribute to infrastructure projects and change initiatives.
• Resolution of escalated requests or incidents; logged and tracked via service desk.
• Build, configure, and maintain Azure infrastructure (VMs, networking, storage, app services).
• Support Azure governance activities (naming/tagging, Azure Policy, RBAC, PIM).
• Systems administration (performance tuning, data management) across Azure and on-prem.
• Manage identity and access (Entra ID, CA policies, enterprise apps).
• Monitor and review quality of service delivered.
• Remediate vulnerabilities across networks, systems, apps.
• Plan and implement cloud and on-prem data storage technologies.
• Install and maintain infrastructure systems software; testing and decommissioning as needed.
• Lifecycle management of devices including Windows and Cloud PC estates.
• Raise and document changes per change management process.
• Produce and maintain system/knowledge-base documentation.
• Liaise with 3rd party suppliers.
• Travel to other offices as required.
