Azure Enterprise Architect

Location: Hybrid - with travel to client sites across the UK
Salary: Up to £100k

Deerfoot IT Recruitment is seeking an experienced Azure Enterprise Architect to join a prestigious and award-winning Microsoft partner. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and technically skilled architect to join a dynamic and collaborative team, delivering cloud-first solutions to a broad portfolio of clients across various industries.

This hybrid role requires flexibility for occasional travel to client sites within the UK.

Role Overview:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure. Acting as a strategic bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, the Azure Enterprise Architect will lead the development of secure, scalable, and high-performance architectures.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create and deliver Azure-based solution designs tailored to client needs
2. Advocate best practices and Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) principles
3. Define and implement usage patterns for new Azure technologies
4. Be hands-on with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Azure DevOps pipelines
5. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful cloud adoption and transformation

Skills & Experience Required:

1. Strong expertise in Azure services including vWAN, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Azure SQL, AKS, and more
2. Proficient in Terraform and Azure DevOps
3. Knowledge of Microsoft CAF and WAF
4. Experience with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD best practices
5. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles

Desirable Skills:

1. Familiarity with Microservices Architecture and containerisation
2. Background in data management and governance
3. Azure certifications (preferred)
