Job summary

XPS Group seeks a Technical Product Owner for the Aurora platform. Based in Reading with remote options, you will own the end-to-end product lifecycle, guide Azure-first, serverless-first designs, and ensure delivery aligns with enterprise standards.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations and compliance teams in a regulated environment, drive release governance in Azure DevOps, and champion performance and security throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Technical Product Manager, or similar role within a software engineering environment.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure-based solutions, including cloud-native and serverless architectures.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams with backlog ownership and delivery outcomes.
• Ability to shape and challenge technical solutions in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Experience with Azure DevOps (or similar tools) for backlog management, release tracking and delivery governance.
• Experience delivering solutions in regulated or data-sensitive environments (financial services, pensions, insurance).

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Aurora platform from discovery to delivery and live service operation.
• Provide technical oversight of solution direction, ensuring Azure-first, serverless-first, API-first designs.
• Act as a design checkpoint for engineering teams to ensure alignment with Azure reference patterns.
• Collaborate with developers to shape solutions while ensuring platform-wide consistency.
• Define and own non-functional requirements including performance, security and cost in Azure.
