Job summary

Cyber Talent Limited is seeking a seasoned DevOps Engineer for a hybrid role in the UK. The position focuses on Azure cloud design, automated pipelines, and secure, scalable infrastructure.

You will implement GitOps practices, manage CI/CD with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI, and collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure reliable deployments. Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in DevOps within regulated environments, strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python), and relevant

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in a DevOps role, ideally within a security-focused or highly regulated environment.
• Strong Azure expertise, including the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure.
• Proven experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitLab CI.
• Experience designing and managing complex Microsoft-based infrastructure environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure security, and Windows/Linux system administration.
• Experience implementing GitOps principles and modern deployment strategies.
• Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies and best practices.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash and/or Python to automate operational tasks.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
• Professional certifications in cloud technologies and/or DevOps practices (e.g. Microsoft Azure, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes).
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines.
• Optimise Azure and on-premises application environments.
• Maintain monitoring, logging, and performance across platforms.
• Embed security best practices and ensure ISO/compliance standards.
• Develop scripts and tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Development and IT teams to support application delivery and resolve deployment issues.
• Manage incidents, requests, and problem resolution across the DevOps and application stack.
