Job summary

Cloudfy is seeking a DevOps Engineer in Leicester to join our team. The role combines 4 days per week in the Leicester office with 1 day remote, focusing on automation, security, and reliable cloud delivery.

You will design and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure, and drive DevSecOps practices across the SDLC in collaboration with developers, QA and project teams. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of hands-on cloud/DevOps experience and strong Azure and IaC skills

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of commercial DevOps or cloud engineering experience.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps, CI/CD and release management experience.
• CI/CD pipelines using YAML and Git-based source control experience.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services and production environments.
• Experience with Azure App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage, Front Door or similar.
• Infrastructure as Code concepts and environment management.
• Understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and IAM.
• Experience with monitoring, logging and observability platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
• Experience collaborating with software engineering, QA and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Proactive automation and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Automate build, test, deployment and release processes for consistency and speed.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve automation and workflows.
• Provision and optimise Azure infrastructure using IaC principles.
• Support Azure environments across development, QA, staging and production.
• Manage Azure services like App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage, Front Door, Key Vault.
• Implement monitoring, alerting and observability with Azure Monitor and Insights.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis to reduce disruption.
• Identify performance, scalability and resilience improvements for the platform.
• Contribute to disaster recovery, backup and governance planning (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Embed DevSecOps practices across the software delivery lifecycle.
• Assist with security, IAM, vulnerability management and governance initiatives.
• Promote automation-first thinking and continuous improvement across engineering.
