Job summary

Avanade Inc. is seeking an Azure Data Support Engineer to join our UK Managed Services team.

The role focuses on maintaining Azure-based data and ML workloads, including ADF pipelines, Databricks, ML endpoints, and Power BI dashboards, with an emphasis on stability, performance, and reliability. The ideal candidate will manage SQL-based data loads, optimize queries, and support data warehouse environments (Azure Synapse Analytics and SQL DB).

Qualifications

• Experience with Azure data platforms and data warehousing.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with DevOps and automation pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor Azure-based data solutions including ADF pipelines, Databricks jobs, ML endpoints, and Power BI datasets.
• Develop automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) to improve reliability.
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Provide L2/L3 support in an ITIL-aligned managed services environment.
